Dylan & Mackenzie’s wedding day at Credo Pointe was the kind of day that reminds me exactly why I love what I do!
First of all, this venue? An absolute dream. Between the beautiful wooded backdrop, the soft light, and the thoughtful design of the space, every corner felt like something straight out of a photographer’s imagination. Even with the rain coming and going throughout the day, there was never a moment where the beauty of the day felt overshadowed.
And honestly, the timing could not have been more perfect!
Just minutes before the ceremony began, the skies cleared. It felt like everyone collectively exhaled at the same time as guests gathered and the ceremony finally began surrounded by the woods and the people who love them most.
But the moment that got me—the moment I will probably remember forever—was during the ceremony when their friends and family gathered around them to pray over them.
I’m telling you… there was not a dry eye anywhere near me, including mine.
It was one of those deeply emotional moments where you could physically feel how loved and supported they are. And as everyone slowly returned to their seats, I looked over and saw little Maddox wrapped around them in the sweetest hug, and I genuinely had to take a second to compose myself. It was such a pure, tender moment in the middle of all the emotion unfolding around them.
The entire day carried that same feeling. Everywhere you turned, there were people speaking life into them, encouraging them, celebrating them, and reminding them how deeply cared for they are. You could tell Dylan and Mackenzie have built relationships that truly matter, and seeing that kind of community surround a couple on their wedding day is always incredibly special!
And then… one of my favorite moments of the entire day happened completely unexpectedly.
As I was getting ready to leave, I stopped in the foyer to grab a few final photos before heading out. Out of nowhere Dylan’s grandpa, Jerry, started trying to take a selfie with me—and it absolutely caught me off guard in the best way possible. It was funny, sweet, chaotic for a second, and was the perfect ending for the day!
Those are the moments I live for at weddings.
The unexpected little interactions. The moments no timeline could plan for. The split seconds where I stop feeling like “the vendor with the camera” and instead feel like someone who got to truly be part of the day alongside everyone else.
Dylan and Mackenzie, thank you for letting me witness such meaningful moments and capture a day that was overflowing with love, emotion, and joy. Rain and all, it was absolutely beautiful—and your people made sure everyone knew just how loved you are!
