Sheridan & Austin’s wedding day at I Do At The Barn was one I had been looking forward to for a long time… and not just because it was my first time at this very popular venue (although I was definitely excited about that too after hearing so much about it!).
What made this day especially meaningful for me, though, was them. I’ve known Sheridan and Austin for a few years now through working together at Toyota, so being invited into such a significant chapter of their lives felt incredibly special. It’s one thing to show up for a couple you’ve just met—but it’s something entirely different when you’ve already seen pieces of their story unfold over time!
From the moment I arrived, I totally understood the hype. The barn and grounds was serene with just a touch of vintage charm that makes everything feel just a little bit nostalgic. It set the tone so perfectly for a day that felt both relaxed and deeply meaningful.
Now, let’s talk about the weather… because it definitely had its own plans! The rain came and went throughout the day, keeping everyone on their toes. But honestly? It didn’t take away from a single moment. If anything, it added to the story—those little unexpected shifts that make a wedding day feel even more memorable!
And true to who they are, the entire day felt fun, easygoing, and full of genuine connection. They were surrounded by their people—friends and family who clearly love them deeply—and there was this steady undercurrent of joy that carried through every part of the day.
It was such an honor to be there—not just as a photographer, but as someone who already knew and cared about them. Days like this remind me how special this work really is!
Sheridan and Austin, thank you for trusting me to capture your day and for letting me be part of something so meaningful. It was absolutely spectacular—and so are you two!
