Sometimes the sweetest things are worth waiting for. We were supposed to meet on Saturday, but the rain had other plans. I decided to move the session to Sunday so Raegan and Connor could have the best experience possible—and it was so worth it. The skies cleared, Boone Tavern and Berea College gave us the most beautiful backdrop, and these two showed up with all the joy and love in the world.
What I love most about days like this is that it’s not just about the pictures—it’s about the presence. My heart as a photographer is to step into moments like these not just as “the girl with the camera,” but as the family you didn’t know you had. To laugh with you, calm nerves, and help you feel fully present with the person you love.
And honestly? I see God’s goodness in these moments. In the way the rain clears, in the laughter between two people, and in the gift of love itself. Sessions like Raegan and Connor’s remind me that this work is more than photos—it’s a front-row seat to something sacred. 💛
Congratulations, you two. I can’t wait to celebrate your story all the way to “I do.”
