Abby & Tanner | Arboretum Engagement in Lexington

Engagements

If I had to sum up Abby and Tanner in one word, it would be: energy. The good kind. The contagious kind. The kind that makes you accidentally take 400 photos in the first ten minutes because they’re just that fun to be around.

We met at The Arboretum in Lexington — and let me just say, we caught the final, dramatic farewell of fall. The trees were basically whispering, “We tried, okay?” 🍂 But we snagged the last pops of color, and honestly… these two brought so much joy with them that the scenery didn’t even have to try.

Now, let’s talk about the ring.
Not only is it gorgeous, but it has decades of family history behind it. There’s something special about a ring that has lived more life than all of us combined — a little heirloom, a little sparkle, and whole lot of story.✨

The session itself? Pure laughter. Pure movement. Pure “okay, just one more shot… wait, one more.” Tanner kept Abby laughing, Abby kept Tanner laughing, and I basically got my cardio in for the day keeping up with them. We ran – more like a frolic – we spun in circles, I almost wiped out on a tree, and we threw leaves like no one was watching.

It was one of those sessions where you walk away with cheeks hurting — the best kind of photographer problem.

Abby and Tanner, thank you for letting me capture your joy and run around The Arboretum like we owned the place. I cannot wait for your wedding day.
